How a provider's score is worked out

Every provider card on Locufy carries one score. It is not a Locufy rating on its own — it combines every review the provider has, wherever it was left.

What the score combines

The score draws on three sources: reviews left on Google, reviews on Trustpilot, and reviews left on Locufy after a completed booking. All three are read into one number out of five.

Why a hundred reviews count for more than three

Each source is weighted by how many reviews it holds. A provider with 170 Google reviews at 4.8 and 3 Locufy reviews at 5.0 scores close to 4.8 — the larger body of evidence carries more weight. This stops a brand-new listing with two perfect reviews from outranking a business with years of them.

Why some providers show no score

A provider with no reviews on any of the three sources shows no score at all. Locufy never shows an invented or default number — a blank is the honest state.

Where the score is used

Results are ordered by distance from you first, then by score. Nobody can pay to appear higher; there are no sponsored spots. The same score appears on the provider's profile, on locality pages and on the search results.

If you think a score is wrong

Reviews from Google and Trustpilot are read as they are published there; a review on one of those platforms is disputed with that platform. A review left on Locufy can be reported from the provider's profile — .

SEE THE SOURCES BEHIND A SCORE

  1. Open the provider's profile
  2. Under the score, tap the review count
  3. Each source is listed with its own count and average
