IN SHORT

  • Published Dublin hourly rates this autumn cluster between €20 and €33 for a regular clean, with city-centre postcodes quoted up to €40 and the western suburbs from €18. Deep cleans run €25–€35 an hour or €120–€175 for a three-bed.
  • Most companies set a two-hour minimum; a typical weekly visit is two to three hours, so €50–€90 a visit at company rates, with 10–20% off for a standing weekly booking.
  • Under every quote: the national minimum wage has been €14.15 an hour since 1 January 2026, the contract-cleaning rate €14.80, and cleaning services carry 13.5% VAT — a €90 clean is €102.15 with VAT.

The rates on the record

No Irish source publishes a quarter-on-quarter index for cleaning, so the only honest way to say what it costs this month is to put the current published rates side by side, with their dates.

  • Top Cleaners (guide published August 2026, updated September): regular cleaning €25–€30 an hour, deep clean €30–€35, one-off €25–€35; two hours €50–€60, three hours €75–€90; a three-bed deep clean €120–€175 or more; end-of-tenancy €180–€500+; 10–15% off recurring bookings.
  • Granny's Cleaning (2026, by area): city centre (D1, D2, D3, D8) €24–€32, averaging €28; south (D4, D6, D14) €22–€28; north €20–€26; west €19–€25; Tallaght and Clondalkin €18–€23. Its national page puts Dublin at €30–€35, city centre €32–€40, suburbs €28–€35, and says anything under €20 an hour is a red flag.
  • ConnectCleaner (2026): Dublin €21–€33 an hour, the commuter counties €19–€29, most other counties €18–€28; weekly bookings 10–20% cheaper; a typical visit two to three hours.
  • Premier Contract Cleaning (April 2026): Dublin agencies €20–€25 an hour, independent cleaners €14–€18, deep or one-off €25–€35; three hours in Dublin €60–€75; "most run a two-hour minimum as a firm rule", with about €45 for two hours the realistic floor.
  • Shining Oven (August 2025): Dublin €20–€25 an hour, a two-hour minimum common; deep cleans €250–€600.

Read together: a regular clean in Dublin from a company is €20–€33 an hour, the centre dearer and the west cheaper; an independent cleaner booked directly is €14–€22; a deep clean is €25–€35 an hour or quoted by the house. Locufy's guide prices for 2026–2027 for each cleaning service are on the price guide, and the hourly rate on each provider's profile is the rate you pay.

By the visit, not the hour

The hourly rate is the headline, but you buy visits. Two things set the price of a visit: the minimum, almost always two hours, sometimes three for a one-off; and the weekly discount, 10–20% at most companies, because a regular slot is worth more to a cleaner than a one-off. A two-bed apartment is typically two to two and a half hours; a three-bed house three to three and a half. At €30 an hour a three-bed weekly clean is about €105 before any discount.

The hourly house clean is one cleaner, usually the same one every week. Deep cleans, move-in and move-out cleans, after-build and carpet cleaning are company work: teams of several people, quoted by the size of the home, sometimes after a look.

The numbers underneath

Minimum wage. €14.15 an hour since 1 January 2026, up from €13.50. The Contract Cleaning Employment Regulation Order, which binds companies in that sector, set €14.10 from 17 October 2025 and €14.80 from 1 January 2026. A company quoting €20 an hour is paying its cleaner at least €14.80, plus employer PRSI, insurance, travel and products, out of the rest. Hourly providers on Locufy set their own rate.

VAT. Cleaning and maintenance services are at the 13.5% reduced rate, not 23%. Citizens Information's July 2026 edition lists it; Revenue's VAT-rates database classes cleaning of private dwellings as reduced rate. Ask whether a quote includes it: €90 becomes €102.15.

Inflation. The CSO's August 2026 figures put consumer prices 3.7% higher than a year earlier, with services at 4.0%; the flash September figure was 3.9%. If your cleaner's rate went up by a euro or two this year, that is the whole economy, not the cleaner.

“Most run a two-hour minimum as a firm rule.”

Questions this piece gets asked

Should I pay cash?

Hourly providers on Locufy are paid by the customer when the job is done; booking through Locufy is what makes the job reviewable. With a company, pay in a traceable way and get the VAT shown.

Why is the city centre dearer?

Travel and parking. Granny's Cleaning's area table runs from €24–€32 in D1–D8 down to €18–€23 in Tallaght and Clondalkin for the same work.

What does a deep clean include that a regular one doesn't?

Inside the oven, fridge and cupboards, limescale, skirting, switches, inside windows, and the areas a weekly clean skips. See the end-of-tenancy checklist for the full room-by-room list.
