The Fatted Calf Bar and Restaurant @ Grogan’s is a gastropub on Main Street in Pearsonsbrook, Glasson, Co. Westmeath, in the former Grogan’s bar and restaurant. The Fatted Calf opened in Glasson in 2010, moved to Athlone in 2015 and returned home to Glasson in 2026. It is run by husband and wife Feargal and Fiona O’Donnell, with their children Molly and Jack. Feargal’s menu is modern Irish food, served in a relaxed, traditional village pub. The kitchen works with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients from the midlands. You can eat in, and you can reserve a table.
