Dog Eclipse — Dundalk

Dog Eclipse is based on Bridge Street in Townparks, Dundalk, and works from there. If you live outside the town, ask whether its mobile dog grooming can reach your area, as coverage for that service can differ from its main base. Confirm the area for pet sitting too before you arrange anything.

Dog grooming at Dog Eclipse depends mainly on the breed, size and coat type, and on how matted the coat is. Whether you book a full groom or a bath and tidy, and whether it is done at the premises or as a mobile visit, also changes the cost. The Dog Grooming price guide gives typical prices in Ireland, so ask for a quote that matches your dog.

A dog groomer should have formal training in grooming and experience handling dogs of different breeds and temperaments. Ask Dog Eclipse what training its groomers have, how long they have worked with dogs, and how they handle nervous animals or badly matted coats. For puppy training, ask what experience the trainer has with young dogs.

A dog grooming visit usually includes a wash, drying, brushing and a tidy. Before booking, ask what the service you choose includes, such as nail trimming, ear cleaning or de-matting, and how long the appointment will take. For boarding or day care, ask what routine, exercise and care your dog will get.

Dog Eclipse has a Google rating of 4.4 from 42 reviews, and you can read them on its Google Maps page at https://maps.google.com/?cid=11327489082362269838. When you read them, look for comments on how dogs were handled, how the coat turned out and whether the business kept to what was agreed.

You can book Dog Eclipse by phone, through its website or through its Locufy page. When you get in touch, say which service you want, your dog's breed and size, and the dates you have in mind. Ask for the booking to be confirmed in writing, so you both have the same details.

Ask Dog Eclipse whether it takes a deposit to hold a boarding stay or day care place, and how much of it is refunded if you cancel. It is usual in Ireland for pet care businesses to set out deposit and cancellation terms before you book, so ask for them in writing. Check too what happens if your dog becomes unwell and cannot attend a booked stay.
