The Malletsheugh sits on Ayr Road in Newton Mearns, on the edge of Glasgow, and combines a bar with a restaurant under one roof. Its Taj restaurant takes its name from the Taj Mahal and was first opened by the family's grandfather, later run by their father before the next generation stepped in. The menus split between Indian and Scottish dishes, reflecting a household rooted in both traditions. The kitchen uses freshly prepared, locally sourced ingredients.
