About

About The Hurstwood

The Hurstwood is a gastropub in High Hurstwood, set in the heart of Ashdown Forest on Hurstwood Road. Its menus lean on seasonal, local and foraged ingredients, cooked for a relaxed meal in the pub. Inside you will find beamed ceilings, dimly lit corners and an open fire, and the oak bar pours local craft ales alongside a carefully chosen wine list. There is a beer garden, and the pub is family-friendly, with a welcome for walkers and dog lovers exploring the forest. The village sits about 11 miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells and close to Uckfield and Crowborough, making it a quiet countryside stop. You can eat in or order for collection.
