About The Grasshopper
The Grasshopper is a pub and restaurant on Bournemouth Road in Parkstone, Poole, in a building that began life in the 19th century as the Half Way House Hotel, a stop between Poole and Bournemouth. Inside, reclaimed pieces from the Victorian brewery that once stood on the site sit alongside newer touches such as an open kitchen and exposed brick walls, and one fireplace is built from vintage copper beer kettles. The kitchen uses seasonal ingredients to give traditional pub food a fresh twist, with familiar favourites alongside more imaginative dishes, hand-cut chips and generously portioned Sunday roasts. The menu also includes brunch, coffee and cake, and Badger beer is served. You can eat in or order for collection.
