About Poonthai's
Poonthai's has served Thai food on Westgate in North Berwick since 1989. Its website suggests it may be the longest established Thai restaurant in Scotland, and it has stayed on the same site since opening. It is run as a family business. Two international chefs prepare Thai dishes in the Thai style, using local produce wherever possible apart from specialist Thai ingredients. Diners who prefer Scottish fare can choose from all-day breakfasts, stovies, and fish and chips. Behind the restaurant, a covered garden eating area is heated and lit when needed, and smokers are welcome there. The restaurant also runs an outside catering service, reaching towns as distant as Duns and Hawick for large wedding parties. You can eat in or order for collection.
