About Waxies Sligo

Waxies Sligo is a pub on Rockwood Parade by the river in Sligo town, and it began on the quay in the 1800s. It is one of three bars on the one street, along with An Táin and Tannery Lane. Live music plays most nights, bands play at weekends, and big games are shown on three screens. The kitchen serves pub food, including steak sandwiches, burgers, tacos, roasts and a lunch special, with gluten-free options on the menu. Groups can book a free reserved area with finger food from the kitchen. Waxies is an Irish Pub Awards 2026 Connacht winner for Best Cocktail Experience. You can eat in or book a table.
