About Firehouse Bakery and Cafe
Firehouse Bakery and Cafe is an artisan bakery in Delgany, County Wicklow, based at the Old Delgany Inn. The bakery makes crusty sourdoughs and slow-proved yeasted breads, and the cafe serves freshly baked breads, pastries and coffee. Bread is made in small batches in the old style, with no preservatives, and the open-plan bakery means the baking is on show. The business began on Heir Island in West Cork, and Delgany is its first bakery and cafe, with a second in Wicklow Town. It also runs hands-on bread and cookery sessions at its cookery school in Newtownmountkennedy. You can eat in or take away.
