About Barron's Bakery & Coffee House
Barron's Bakery & Coffee House is a bakery and coffee shop on Cook Street in Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. The bakery has been baking bread in the town since 1887 and still uses Scotch brick ovens for its crusty loaves. Loaves are shaped by hand after a slow, natural proof. The bakery says it is probably the last in Ireland to use these ovens, which give the bread its own taste, flavour and crust. The bakery's history includes John Barron, who trained as a baker. Desserts, confectionery and coffee are also on offer, and you can eat in or take away.
