About

About Alma Restaurant

Alma is a small Portuguese and Brazilian restaurant in Lydon Court on Bóthar Irwin, a short walk from Eyre Square in Galway city. The menu is tapas-style and changes often, with small plates in the tradition of Portuguese taverns, and it shows the gastronomic cultures that Portuguese cooking influenced. It is a family business: Márcia runs the dining room and João cooks in the kitchen. The room seats around twenty, so tables are booked in set sittings. The restaurant is cosy and relaxed, and you can eat in or take away.
